1. Do you travel outside of Indianapolis?
Yes! For local weddings, I charge a standard mileage rate of $0.54/mile for weddings over 60 miles round-trip from the Indianapolis, IN area. I also enjoy doing destination weddings and have had the opportunity to photograph weddings in many different locations, including Seattle, Chicago and New York! Destination wedding packages are customized to the needs of each client.

2. How many hours of coverage do you typically recommend?
I’ve found that 8 hours fits the needs of most couples, however every wedding is different. This largely depends on the wedding timeline and personal preferences of the couple. I provide wedding timeline consultation to all of my clients to help determine the best option for their budget and needs.
Additional time can also be added onto the standard wedding packages at any time.

3. How many pictures can we expect to get, and how long does it take?
The number of photos in the final collection varies, depending on the wedding timeline, however on average you can expect around 100 images for each hour of your wedding. So for an 8 hour wedding, you’ll receive a minimum of 800 images. All images are delivered to you within 60 days of the event.

4. How many weddings have you photographed?

I’ve photographed over 150 weddings, in various states over the past seven years.

5. What is your typical process for working with a new client?
I love to meet up with new clients over lunch or coffee to get to know them and understand the vision for their wedding day. I also provide timeline consultation for every wedding to help ensure that your wedding day is as seamless and stress-free as possible. Prior to the wedding, I check in to confirm timelines/details and assist with any questions before the big day. I will also provide you with a image list for family portraits 30 days before your wedding. When your wedding day arrives, my goal is to capture every moment I see in the most creative yet authentic way possible. I also realize that there is an important balance between creating images that you will be able to enjoy for a lifetime, and allowing you to enjoy the moment with your family and friends.

6. How do you help your client become more comfortable in front of the camera?
To get people comfortable in front of the camera, I simply encourage them to be themselves. I provide some instruction so that couples feel confident in front of the camera, but will also allow certain moments to unfold naturally. Each pose that I suggest is more of a starting point for couples to interact in their own way. I think that over-posing a couple takes away from the authenticity of the moment and ultimately the photograph. I aim to capture who people are, not simply what they are doing. I think it’s important for each person’s personality to show in each image, and for their unique attraction for one another to be evident.

7. Who will be our second shooter?
I have a close network of photographers that I know and trust. We rely on each another for backup roles along with second shooting. Each of them own professional grade equipment and have significant experience photographing weddings. I’m typically unable to tell you who they are at the time of booking, but you can rest assured knowing that whoever the second photographer is, they will be professional and great to work with!

8.How do we book you?
Booking is simple! First, inquire on my Contact Page. If you decide to move forward, I will send you a contract via email, and once you’ve read it through, just e-sign it and send it back to me along with the deposit. Once this step is completed, your date is officially secured! A signed version of the contract will be sent back to you for your records, along with a receipt for the deposit.
