I started out photographing events and families as a hobby in 2009. I had just purchased my first camera and decided to help out some friends who needed some photos. A couple years later, I was asked by a friend to assist at a wedding - I ultimately said yes, completely nervous about what was in store. Wedding photography was actually the last thing I ever imagined doing, but after covering my first couple of weddings, I ended up discovering a new passion. After a while, my friends started getting married and I ended up being the “friend with the camera. My first solo wedding was in 2013 and I haven't looked back. I absolutely love what I do, and I am truly humbled to have this amazing job.
I've always had an appreciation for subtle moments that can easily go unnoticed. The moments where you can't hold the tears back, the subtle glances and smiles, and the moments where you forget everything and everyone around you. Those are the moments I strive to capture behind the camera, and focus on throughout my approach to wedding photography.
Each couple that I work with tells me that their wedding day went by entirely too fast. They spent months planning and investing in one day that goes by in what seems like only a few minutes. It's one of the most enjoyable days they have, but it flies by. For many, it's also the one opportunity where friends and family from both sides come together and celebrate such an occasion.
I love being a part of these moments, adding to the enjoyment and capturing images that allow couples to relive their wedding day and share it with others. These moments never get old to me and I'm constantly inspired by the opportunity to capture them photographically. I'm also grateful to every couple that allows me to do what I love and to play a role in their wedding story.
I am grateful to have worked in so many different places doing what I love, and even more than that, I appreciate each and every couple who trusts me to capture their most important moments. That trust inspires me to continuously aim for the perfect balance between creative expression and honest documentation.
I am truly passionate about what I do, and I hope to work with many more amazing couples who want to create great work together.
I'm currently based in Indianapolis, IN, however I'm excited to go wherever is necessary. If my style appeals to you, please get in touch. I'd be happy to meet you!
