When I started experimenting with photography in 2008, I had no clue what was in store for me long term. I had just purchased my first camera and decided to help out some friends who needed event photos. One year later, I was asked by a friend to assist at a wedding and I reluctantly said yes. Wedding photography was actually the last thing I ever wanted to do, but after shooting my first few weddings, I realized that I loved it! I found great fulfillment in helping couples re-live the most exhilarating day of their lives through the work I created. I soon decided to devote all of my efforts towards learning the art and craft of wedding photography. Through research, learning on-the-go, and constant practice, I eventually became a professional wedding photographer and discovered a passion that I never really set out to find.
Photography has been an incredible journey. I am grateful to have worked in so many different places doing what I love, and even more than that, I appreciate each and every couple who trusts me to capture their most important moments. That trust inspires me to continuously aim for the perfect balance between creative expression and honest documentation. I am truly passionate about what I do, and I hope to work with many more amazing couples who want to create great work together. I'm currently based in Indianapolis, IN, however I'm excited to go wherever is necessary. If my style does appeal to you, please get in touch. I'd be happy to meet you!
Emily and John could not have had a more perfect wedding day, with 70 degree weather, a perfect sunset and guests who came ready for the party. There were so many awesome moments throughout the day, there was never a dull moment. These two were up for anything when it came to photos, and they had absolutely no trouble enjoying the moment with each other. I hope the very best for these two as they begin their new life together!
When I met up with these two to discuss their wedding plans, they knew exactly where they wanted to do their engagement session. It’s where they’ve spent a lot of time as a couple (and even had their first date!), so Broad Ripple was an easy choice. We started out at the Indianapolis Art Center and then headed over to the heart of Broad Ripple, where there is no shortage of photogenic backdrops. I had a blast with these two, and I’m glad they were willing to put up with my cheesy jokes and unpredictable queues. These two were smiling and laughing the entire session, and I completely took advantage of it! Congrats to the newly engaged couple!
Becca & Tim’s wedding was a beautiful celebration! I had a lot of fun with these two, and judging from their engagement session, I knew their wedding would be just as incredible. The ceremony took place at Plainfield Christian Church outside of Indianapolis Afterwards the bridal party and I took a trip downtown for some fun group shots in the lawn of the State Capitol Building. The reception was at Sahm’s Atrium, which is a beautiful, spacious venue inside the One America building in downtown Indianapolis. I couldn’t get enough of capturing these two on camera. It’s always exciting to see two people with a real passion for one another and a unique connection. I’m so glad that I was there to witness their vows and celebrate their union! Congrats to the newlyweds!
