When I started experimenting with photography in 2008, I had no clue what was in store for me long term. I had just purchased my first camera and decided to help out some friends who needed event photos. One year later, I was asked by a friend to assist at a wedding and I reluctantly said yes. Wedding photography was actually the last thing I ever wanted to do, but after shooting my first few weddings, I realized that I loved it! I found great fulfillment in helping couples re-live the most exhilarating day of their lives through the work I created. I soon decided to devote all of my efforts towards learning the art and craft of wedding photography. Through research, learning on-the-go, and constant practice, I eventually became a professional wedding photographer and discovered a passion that I never really set out to find.
Photography has been an incredible journey so far. I am grateful to have worked in so many different places doing what I love, and even more than that, I appreciate each and every couple who trusts me to capture their most important moments. That trust inspires me to continuously aim for the perfect balance between creative expression and honest documentation. I am truly passionate about what I do, and I hope to work with many more amazing couples who want to create great work together. My current home is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, however I'm excited to go wherever is necessary. If my style does appeal to you, please get in touch. I'd be happy to meet you!
Kelsey and Charlie's story started in college at Purdue University, the same location they decided to do their engagement session. I had a blast capturing their engagement photos, and it was no different when their wedding day finally came around. We started out at Kelsey's home church, in Southeastern Indianapolis for the ceremony, before heading to a separate photo location at Coxhall Gardens. Their reception was hosted at the beautiful Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana, which was absolutely stunning. You can't go wrong with a glass enclosed all-white garden pavilion! The entire day was filled with so much emotion, laughter and tears - it reminded me of why I love doing my job. Congratulations to Kelsey and Charlie!
Jamie & Stephen picked the perfect location for their late summer wedding. Coffee Creek Ridge is a family owned farmed located in Shelbyville, Indiana. Everything from the stunning wedding dress, to the elaborate bouquet, the cozy reception and humorous speeches made this day one of my favorites from 2017. You also can’t go wrong with a “first look” between the bride and her dad! Check out the highlights!
Colleen & Joe are an extremely fun and active couple. They were hosting a dinner party right after their engagement session, so we captured a few shots of them preparing snacks for the evening. Newly engaged couples cooking in their beautifully-lit kitchen, might be my new favorite photo op =). After they finished prepping, we went over to Holcomb Gardens at Butler University for some additional photos. It was 60 degrees on a November Saturday, and we had to take advantage of it. These two were a ton of fun to work with, and can’t wait to see them again on their wedding day this spring!
